CHA-LUX 890 Kenya and Tanzania Holiday Breakaway

DAY 1: TAITA HILLS
An early start, in a purpose built Safari Cruiser; we head south to the Taita Hills Lodge Lunch, afternoon at leisure, or P.M. game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at the Taita Hills Lodge.

DAY 2: NGORONGORO
After an early breakfast we head for the Tanzania border at Taveta, at which point our Tanzania driver/guide takes over. Proceed to Arusha for Lunch, before continuing to the astonishing Ngorongoro Crater - encompassing some 6,475 Sq Kms. Everything is on a grand scale; on game drives tomorrow we descend 7,500 ft to the crater floor. Arriving at your lodge late afternoon - relax and enjoy the breathtaking views. This most spectacular of African Game Reserve contains one of the largest concentrations of wildlife, inc: The Big Five: Elephant, Lion, Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard, also Cheetah and plain's Game: Zebra, Gazelle, Wildebeest. Dinner/overnight at a Lodge.

DAY 3: NGORONGORO
Early morning game drive within the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world's largest caulderas where we gain a sense of its immense proportions and observe the wildlife as it awakens to a new day. Return for breakfast, morning at leisure. Lunch at the lodge, relax, afternoon game drive. Dinner/overnight at a Lodge.

DAY 4 & 5: SERENGETI
After breakfast we continue into the vast Serengeti sanctuary, stopping at Olduvai Gorge - acclaimed site of prehistoric man. The immensity of the Serengeti Park can best be expressed in its numbers. It is recorded that over a million animals live in this area, with more than a third being Wildebeest. This offers an enormous food supply for the Lion and Cheetah as well as Leopard - an animal usually difficult to find in other Reserves. Two further game drives are enjoyed on the second day. Dinner and overnights are at a Lodge.

DAY 6: LAKE MANYARA
After breakfast your exciting Safari continues to Lake Manyara National Park. This park is bounded on the east by the shores of the Lake and northwest by the Rift Valley. We can enjoy an outstanding vantage point. Afternoon game drive concentrates on a search for wildlife taking their afternoon siesta. Dinner and overnight at a lodge in Manyara.

DAY 7: ARUSHA
After breakfast farewell drive out of Manyara up to Arusha for lunch. Afternoon at leisure, dinner and overnight in Arusha.

DAY 8: NAIROBI
Breakfast and proceed to the Kenyan border at Taveta. Change of vehicle driver/guide and head back to the Taita Hills Lodge for lunch, before proceeding to Nairobi.
